Dive In Movie - July 16th

Come Dive into an evening of wet fun at the Hollowell's house! We will meet at the church at 6:00pm and bus over to the Hollowell's to swim, eat some great grillin', play some volleyball and when it gets dark, see an outside movie under the stars!
No cost for this activity but yep, you got to bring a friend!

What's happening this week in Wednesday Night Live

This Wednesday night jump into a Bible Study at 6:30pm. Bryan and Janna Kelly and Bill and Kelley Ried will be leading these small groups. You will be challenged by the message of the Magnificent 7 in your Bible Study group.

Then stay and play Battleball. Come make some memories with us each Wed. night this summer. Please invite others to come hang out with us!

Sunday School Series - The Practice of Godliness

Sunday School is the most important hour of your week; especially this Summer as we study Jerry Bridges' book on godliness. Godliness is a devotion to God that results in a life that is pleasing to God! If we focus on our devotion to God and simply developing a close relationship with Him, right actions will follow. Don't miss this..it could be life-changing for you and your friends.

Breakfast is served every Sunday morning @ 9:30am just outside the Youth Center.

Back to School Night with Brady Howard and Chris Magnus

Aug. 4th is our Back to School night with Brady Howard and the "One Life" Band. Also, Chris Magnus, better known as "Chapie", will be with us to share his testimony. Please invite friends from school for this big night!

Kevin Hornsby steps down from Youth Pastor position the end of July

Dear Students and Parents,

It has been such an amazing journey for us to be your Youth Pastor for the last six years. We have witnessed God doing great things in us and through us! We have had some crazy-fun times together and have seen many students come to Christ. This move is one of the most difficult things we have had to do in a long time. God has been working in my heart for some time now! He has been preparing us to make a huge change in how I serve Him in His kingdom. He has led me to join my wife at Eagle's landing Christian Academy as Campus Pastor for the high school. This is a huge opportunity to teach students God's Word 5 days a week and be involved in chapel and local missions.
I don't know how I will be able to transition out of all we have been doing at F.B.C.L.G. We are planted deep in the lives of these wonderful teenagers and their families. It has been such a joy to serve all of you at F.B.C. We love our church family and our pastor. It has been a great experience to serve with the best church staff on the planet! God has blessed our church in so many ways and He will continue to bless in the midst of this change! Change is good in God's kingdom. I would be a fat hypocrite if I did not obey God's voice in this move of ministry. I am practicing what I have taught our students for the last six years and I know they do not expect any less of me!
